“O Most beautiful flower of Mount Carmel, beautiful vine, splendor of heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in this my necessity… O Star of the Sea, help me and show me herein you are my mother. O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of heaven and earth, I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart, to succor me in this my necessity; there are none that can withstand your power. O show me herein you are my Mother. O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse. Sweet Mother, I place this cause in your hands.” ♥

“Merry Christmas! Before Vinculum Caritatis started more than two years ago I was already with the Carmelian Sunday Devotion GC which actually started with OLMCS BULASTUGAN about 3 years ago using Ed Valencia’s zoom account with Fr Noli Lim, Fr Louie Yngente, Ed Isana, Pepe Anacion, Rene Bala, Oslec Soniega, Oscar Mia, Darwin Andrey, Efren Andrey, Robert Ardiente, Noli Balibalos, Alex Estrellado, Mac Liwanag, Uldarico Macayan etc. It was really a simple bulastugan every Sunday morning Philippine time. Along the way the topic of praying the Rosary in Latin was a joke simply no one ever thought that we can do it, me included. I was just starting to learn using the zoom, google apps etc. After researching via google I discovered that all the Latin prayers etc can be downloaded I started getting all data needed & simply doing the capy paste system. During pandemic someone suggested that we do also Holy Mass virtually. I was thinkinof forming “something like what we do in the seminary”. Better yet that during that time I accidentally found a clip about the Carthusian monks praying & singing every 3am. I was impressed by their way of life. I thought that maybe someday somehow I was dreaming of how I could still proceed my original vocation to the priesthood which at this point & situation is impossible In the very little thing that I can I still hope I can still do something I hope no matter how little it maybe I can still share something even before I die.” 12/22/2023

“I was strictly a TALK & TEXT person using my reliable Nokia. Until early 2021 my phone literally fell apart. I was persuaded by my grandchildren to upgrade my phone so I can be connected thru Social Media Oca MiA & Darwin Andrey informed me about Carmellian Sunday Devotion which I joined on Mar 7 2021. I found it comforting to attend a quasi - liturgical Sunday activity instead of participating in the sunday Mass on TV. After a month or so, Oca & Darwin told me a group of younger OLMCS alumni prayed the Rosary every night Where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst if them I decided to join the nightly rosary. It is more uplifting & conducive to reflection when we pray with a group of similarly minded persons . So the 9pm rosary is part of my daily schedule.” 12/22/2023

“The Carmelian Sunday Devotion and the Vinculum Caritatis came into existence not by accident but by divine providence. As it were, God "provided " us with vehicles to perpetuate a legacy of a Carmelian life of prayer and an instrument of a Marian kind of love and brotherhood. I am not fully! aware of other seminaries that fully support and encourage a joint association and homecoming activities for both priests and former seminarians alike. Because of this reality, I am overwhelmed with gratitude towards our Alma Mater, the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Seminary, for gathering and sheltering all its alumni, whether priests or simply former seminarians. Right now, I feel like I am a seminarian again, for the second time around. As the saying goes: " love is lovelier the second time around." I therefore fervently hope and pray that our Carmelian Vinculum Caritatis survive the test of time and trials and persevere as home to all past, present and future Carmelians, children of our dearest Mother of Carmel.”
